F4F

Food loss and organic waste, if considered a country, would rank as the third-largest emitter of greenhouse gases after the US and China, generating about 3.3 billion tons of CO2 annually. This vast amount of wasted food not only has a severe environmental impact, comparable to global road transport emissions, but also leads to an economic loss of approximately US$ 2.6T. Additionally, exploring alternative protein sources could significantly reduce reliance on traditional non-sustainable sources, further mitigating environmental impacts.

F4F uses black soldier fly larvae to transform organic waste into premium-quality protein. By feeding these larvae with organic waste, F4F not only curbs the occupation of wastelands but also mitigates environmental impact by reducing methane emissions, water pollution, overfishing and deforestation. Furthermore, F4F's operations yield valuable by-products, including oil and biofertilizer, which further contributes to enhancing the sustainability of food production practices.
