Early in my career, I was fortunate to experience transforming an idea in my head into reality and then seeing it change people's lives. In this case, it was a new Hospital. As a co-founder of a healthcare startup, I internalized how much tenacity everything requires. People make everything happen. The world is literally built on passion projects.

My deep interest in science fiction and the experience of installing a new linear particle accelerator in a hospital sparked a deep drive in me to be part of developing new technologies. I received a Fulbright scholarship to study at Berkeley, right in the heart of Silicon Valley. It was an incredible experience, intoxicating in the best way possible, and led me to operate in some of the most interesting startups in Biotech and Edtech.

I returned to Latam because of the region’s outsized opportunities and the potential to make an asymmetric impact. At Kayyak Ventures, I found the best people to seize this opportunity.
